Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sync licensing, clearance management, or related roles in the music or entertainment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of music licensing, copyright, and related industry practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and music licensing tools (e.g., DISCO).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management and artist teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for music and an understanding of popular culture and entertainment trends.
Responsibilities
  • Handle clearance requests for frontline and catalog tracks across label groups, collaborating with artist management and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate fees and terms for sync licenses, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain a real-time tracker of pending and confirmed sync requests, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the creative sync team to align on clearance strategy.
  • Collaborate with the UMe licensing team to align on clearance approvals, quotes, confirmations and airdates.
  • Maintain visibility of every priority sync request from quote to confirmation to airdate and fan reaction.
  • Pull weekly sync activity reports for label heads, internal and artist teams.
  • Generate detailed reports for catalog sync confirmations and frontline placements.
  • Analyze clearance data and sync trends to inform business decisions and identify opportunities for roster growth.
  • Collaborate with the research team to align on broader industry trends and strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison between artist management, internal teams, UMe, and international affiliates for clearance requests.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on clearance status and any related developments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to streamline the clearance process.
  • Track publishing splits & contacts for clients to maintain seamless clearance process.
  • Work with BA to identify sample splits and clearance information.
  • Maintain internal databases related to artist information, master/pub splits, and sync activity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to licensing workflows and status tracking systems.
