Requirements
  • A minimum Top Secret security clearance or higher is required.
  • Three years of experience collaborating with technical customers to understand and accurately document complex technical concepts.
  • Three years of experience editing and proofreading existing documentation for accuracy and readability.
  • Three years of experience providing analysis and recommendations for communications.
  • Three years of experience developing written products, including informational materials, operating procedures, and policy, based on information provided by stakeholders.
  • Three years of experience maintaining web-based instructional design.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Synthesize disparate training materials, engineering manuals, and PowerPoint presentations from multiple vendors and government commands into a single, cohesive modular training package.
  • Assist in converting raw technical data into formal Navy and Joint lesson plans, Trainee Guides, and standardized instructor presentations.
  • Produce and maintain manuals, technical documents, training guides, and policy documents.
  • Edit and refine technical content to ensure compliance with organizational style guides and readability standards.
  • Evaluate existing communications and recommend improvements for clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the technical accuracy and completeness of all deliverables.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Department of War and/or Intelligence Community technical or educational programs.
  • Seven years of experience related to technical writing may be considered equivalent when the proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications; three of those years should demonstrate experience in the specified technical-writing areas.
  • A minimum of 100 hours of curriculum development experience.
  • A U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist certification, U.S. Navy Instructor NEC, or equivalent.
