Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, or a similar maintenance-related field.
- Must live within 30–35 minutes of the property for on-call emergency maintenance response.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; trade or technical school training is a plus.
- Computer knowledge and the ability to generate work orders using a property management software system are required.
- Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment is required.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
Responsibilities
- Complete work in make-ready apartments, including painting, drywall repair, carpet, floor and window cleaning, general maintenance repairs, and housekeeping.
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain grounds and keep common areas free of trash and debris.
- Help maintain mechanical equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Recommend repair or replacement of interior and exterior areas.
- Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards.
- Work one weekend shift.
Desired Qualifications
- EPA, CPO, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and chlorofluorocarbon certifications are a plus.
- Trade or technical school training is a plus.
