Responsibilities

• Work across multiple stakeholder groups to develop a holistic, engaging, and energetic internal communications strategy and structure to deliver meaningful content in a consistent manner across our ecosystem, especially relating to employee ownership and cultivating care for the use of our platform
• Partner with and advise leadership on the right forum, timing, and content to ensure all team members are in the know, inspired and empowered
• Build engaging communications campaigns that emphasize Ginkgo’s values and enable our culture to thrive
• Helping employees understand the multifaceted nature of employee ownership, from equity to corporate governance
• Champion the methodology, tools, techniques, platforms, and processes that enhance and facilitate clear, strategic communications practices
• Develop pedagogical tools to educate the employee base about corporate structure and function, communications strategies, and about topics including the history of synthetic biology, the social impact of technology companies
• Partner with Creative and People Ops to drive the integration and adoption of multi-channel communications, integrating new media and technologies to help communicate messages consistently across the company

Preferred Capabilities and Experience

• 5-7 years of professional experience
• Experience working in a complex, transformational organization structure
• Ability to make complex messages simple and compelling
• Strong ability to build networks / relationships and influence to deliver results across all levels
• Excellent public speaking, facilitation, project management and organization skills
• Curious, life-long learner, proactive and self-motivated
• Able to cultivate and manage relationships across the spectrum of an employee population: from the most junior associate all the way to the C suite
• Exceptional organizational skills allow you to successfully multitask and manage many priorities
