Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Five or more years of Workday integration development experience are required.
  • Deep expertise in Enterprise Interface Builder, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors is required.
  • Strong Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations skills and experience with Workday Studio orchestrations are required.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Representational State Transfer and Simple Object Access Protocol application programming interfaces is required.
  • A strong understanding of the Workday data model and tenant configuration is required.
  • Experience with the Workday security model, including Integration System User and Integration System Security Group patterns, is required.
  • Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Workday integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Payroll Effective Change Interface.
  • Build inbound and outbound integrations connecting Workday with payroll, benefits, information technology provisioning, finance, and analytics systems.
  • Develop Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations within Workday Studio integrations using reusable helper libraries, disciplined templating practices, and test coverage.
  • Implement integrations using Workday Representational State Transfer and Simple Object Access Protocol web services where appropriate.
  • Design error-handling, retry, and notification strategies for reliable integration operations.
  • Develop and maintain integration system users, Integration System Security Groups, security configurations, and tenant-level integration setup.
  • Build and maintain calculated fields, custom reports, and report-as-a-service integrations.
  • Implement Workday business processes and condition rules that support integration logic, including routing, approvals, and state transitions.
  • Participate in Workday tenant refresh planning and integration regression testing across lower environments before tenant moves.
  • Collaborate with human resources, payroll, information technology, and finance stakeholders to translate business needs into integration designs.
  • Maintain current technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Support production integration incidents and drive durable fixes.
  • Participate in Workday release planning and regression testing, reviewing feature changes, scheduling validation cycles, and coordinating stakeholder adoption.
  • Stay current with Workday product releases and integration platform evolution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Workday Pro Integrations certification.
  • Experience with Payroll Interface Common Output Format, Payroll Effective Change Interface, or Cloud Connect for Payroll.
  • Familiarity with Workday Extend.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
  • Experience integrating Workday with major software-as-a-service platforms such as ServiceNow and Salesforce.
