  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus. Certification in use of CAESAR-II software is an advantage
  • Minimum relevant experience of 8-12 years with substantial experience in piping stress analysis for the Oil & Gas industry, including onshore and offshore projects
  • Expertise in CAESAR II
  • Experience with other piping stress software like AutoPIPE or ROHR2 is a plus
  • Familiarity with 3D model review tools such as Navisworks
  • In-depth understanding of ASME B31 series, API standards (e.g., API 610 for pumps), and other relevant industry specifications
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, materials science, and fluid dynamics
  • Knowledge of WRC 107/297 for nozzle flexibility and flange leakage analysis
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage project schedules
Responsibilities
  • Design and Analysis: Static Analysis: Perform comprehensive stress analysis for sustained, thermal expansion, and pressure loads on critical and non-critical piping systems
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Conduct advanced dynamic analyses, including seismic analysis
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Wind load analysis
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Slug flow analysis
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Fluid transient analysis (water hammer)
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Acoustic-induced vibration (AIV) and flow-induced vibration (FIV) checks
  • Design and Analysis: Dynamic Analysis: Fatigue analysis
  • Design and Analysis: Complex Systems: Model and analyze complex systems, including those connected to critical equipment such as turbines, compressors, pumps, reactors, and pressure vessels
  • Design and Analysis: Specialized Analysis: Conduct specialized analyses for systems such as jacketed, buried, and cryogenic piping
  • Design and Analysis: Offshore-Specific Analysis: Perform specialized analysis for offshore facilities (e.g., FPSO topsides, platforms), including studies on accelerations due to wave and wind conditions, structural deflections, Transit and towing conditions
  • Support and Load Design: Support Selection: Design and select standard and special piping support components, including spring hangers, snubbers, expansion joints, and guides
  • Support and Load Design: Load Communication: Issue accurate load data (e.g., thermal, wind, seismic) to civil and structural engineering teams for the design of foundations, pipe racks, and equipment
  • Support and Load Design: Reinforcement Evaluation: Perform reinforcement evaluations at pipe supports, branch connections, and trunnions
  • Documentation and Reporting: Design Basis: Prepare project-specific piping stress specifications and design basis documents
  • Documentation and Reporting: Deliverables: Issue a stress critical line list, marked-up isometrics showing stress-related requirements, and detailed stress analysis reports for client approval
  • Documentation and Reporting: Technical Requisitions: Prepare technical requisitions and datasheets for the procurement of specialty piping items
  • Quality and Compliance: Code Compliance: Ensure all analysis and design activities comply strictly with international codes and standards such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API, and relevant client specifications
  • Quality and Compliance: Technical Reviews: Participate in project review meetings, including 3D model reviews, to address and resolve piping-related issues
  • Quality and Compliance: Vendor Management: Review and approve vendor documentation and drawings for equipment and specialty items to confirm compliance with stress analysis requirements
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaboration: Actively coordinate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Process, Structural) to ensure all interfaces are managed and loads are correctly communicated
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and guidance to construction, commissioning, and operations teams to resolve field issues
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Procurement Support: Collaborate with the procurement team by performing technical bid evaluations of vendor offers for piping supports and specialty items
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with specific plant types (e.g., Refinery, LNG, FPSO, petrochemical complexes)
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis software
  • Site or fabrication yard experience
  • Leadership experience and mentoring of junior engineers

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
