Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred, although education may be substituted with additional applicable work experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a customer service or sales supervisory position with a proven track record.
  • The ability to work within various applicable software programs to support position requirements.
  • The ability to write business correspondence, including letters, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with support departments.
  • The ability to work independently, stay on task, multitask, and prioritize workload.
  • The ability to interact with employees at all organizational levels.
  • The ability to work effectively in an accountable, numbers-driven environment.
  • The ability to demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge across the company's product line.
  • The ability to conduct business conversations with key decision-makers.
Responsibilities
  • Manage sales activities from lead generation through closing for assigned prospects and customers.
  • Work with internal teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals.
  • Develop proposals, cost and budgeting tools, and terms and conditions for assigned customer accounts.
  • Create and deliver proposal presentations and responses to requests for proposals that identify customer problems and company solutions.
  • Assist with sales plans and forecasts for assigned customer accounts.
  • Monitor the competitive business climate, technology trends, and government activities affecting current and anticipated products.
  • Implement the sales plan and achieve target bookings and margin objectives.
  • Build business relationships with contacts at all levels within assigned customer accounts.
  • Identify new opportunities aligned with the company's growth plans.
  • Generate proposal correspondence and follow up with clients to confirm receipt and provide additional information as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities using applicable software.
  • Sell consultatively and recommend company solutions to prospects and clients.
  • Stay current on industry developments by attending professional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Serve as Program Manager or Champion for customer-specific programs, including Samsung, Lam RPM, and AMAT RTM.
  • Handle customer escalations requiring management involvement.
  • Complete and submit periodic performance reports required by assigned customers.
  • Engage customers and build rapport through telephone and email correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in a similar industry.
  • Heavy phone and meeting experience in a transaction-oriented environment.
  • An existing network of contacts and relationships at Applied Materials and Lam Research.
