  • U.S. citizen with an active secret clearance.
  • IAT Level III certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, etc).
  • Twelve (12+) years of directly related systems engineering experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent (Juniper Specialist/Associate acceptable)
  • Experience ensuring systems meet cybersecurity, operational readiness, and compliance requirements.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-vendor network environments (Tier III support).
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with enterprise networking technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, routing/switching, VPN, BGP/MPLS).
  • Strong knowledge of network security hardening, compliance standards, and secure configuration practices (STIGs, NIST, IPSec/TLS).
Responsibilities
  • Support the design, architecture, and modernization of enterprise systems and infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and resilient system designs that meet mission requirements.
  • Participate in system upgrade, migration, deployment, and enhancement projects.
  • Install, configure, and manage highly available and scalable virtual infrastructures.
  • Provide planning, configuration, and upgrade support for VMware vCenter Server and ESXi clusters (7.x/8.x).
  • Provision, administer, and maintain virtual machines and virtual applications.
  • Monitor vSphere/vCenter environments, alarms, and overall system health.
  • Apply and maintain IAVMs, STIGs, patches, bug fixes, and security controls across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain, support, and troubleshoot enterprise systems, resolving complex infrastructure issues.
  • Implement redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies for system continuity.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including diagrams, configuration records, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with security, network, cloud, and application teams to ensure secure and integrated system operations.
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance reviews, and full lifecycle management.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide SME-level guidance across system engineering domains.
  • Recommend and evaluate new technologies, tools, and modernization strategies.
  • Support automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
