Role/Department:
The EMEA payroll department is a highly motivated and dynamic team of 8 professionals working across 10 diverse locations. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a skilled group, driving efficiency and ensuring seamless payroll operations. You will play a crucial role in supporting payroll functions across multiple regions, gaining invaluable experience in a fast-paced, international environment.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Performs daily payroll activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll production of assigned payrolls including complex and year-end activities
Reviews payroll adjustment requests to ensure proper authorization and compliance with corporate policies, employment tax & other payroll-related laws
Responds to payroll inquiries from all levels throughout the organization to explain pay, adjustments to pay, and impact of policies, tax law and related changes.
Analyses existing policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with tax & other payroll-related laws and regulations.
Works directly with vendors and/or reviews payroll system or applications to ensure changes submitted are correctly reflected on the payroll
Prepares and/or monitors payroll tax and general ledger accounts/activities, and works with Finance to reconcile discrepancies, and process or advise on appropriate accounting transactions to keep accounts in balance
Researches and monitors regulatory and legislative changes impacting payroll areas of responsibility to ensure ongoing compliance
Responsible for input or review of country/regional metrics for assigned payrolls and any other applicable and/or requested management reports
Skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
Exposure to payroll within a global corporate environment
Excel skills & systems knowledge (e.g. workday)
Ideally familiar with all aspects of payroll processing including payroll production, reconciliation
Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and organizational skills to meet deadlines
Able to multi-task in a high paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and focus on continuous improvements
