  • Training or willingness to be trained in QBS Safety Care de-escalation and crisis management techniques, including physical management, restraint, and isolation procedures.
  • Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, balance, lift, push, pull, carry, grasp, reach, handle, stoop, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell regularly.
  • Ability to run and walk for a minimum of five minutes, escort a student for a minimum of five minutes, and climb a six-foot fence.
  • Ability to respond quickly to active and aggressive students ages 5 to 22, including performing approved escorts, holds, and restraints.
  • Criminal background clearance or a formal exception.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and verified auto insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the special curricular trajectory and manage goals for each student.
  • Oversee and train staff on student goal procedures while reporting to the Site Director.
  • Provide staff professional development.
  • Delegate work to Lead Technicians and Behavior Technicians.
  • Collaborate with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst on all student objectives and documents.
  • Identify individual student needs.
  • Create a supportive and effective learning environment.
  • Ensure student accommodations.
  • Prepare lessons and resources.
  • Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program documentation.
  • Assess student performance.
  • Serve as teacher of record.
  • Perform physical management when required for student and staff safety.
  • Update parents on student progress.
  • Research curriculum.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
