MultiCare Yakima region president Tammy Buyok to retire at end of 2026. July 29, 2026 Yakima, Wash. - MultiCare Health System has announced that Tammy Buyok, president and market leader for MultiCare's Yakima region, will retire at the end of 2026 following a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in healthcare leadership, including more than 14 years with MultiCare. Buyok joined MultiCare in 2012 and was serving as the organization's vice president for facilities management and operations support services when she was tapped to lead MultiCare's operations in Yakima in 2023. Under her leadership, MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital and MultiCare's other health care facilities in the Yakima region underwent significant modernization - including technology infrastructure upgrades, robotic-assisted surgery enhancements and investments in advanced patient monitoring and nursing technologies. The region has also seen substantial growth in health care services, from new facilities such as an Indigo Urgent Care and a neighborhood emergency department, to expanded access to care for thousands of primary care patients and more specialty services throughout the region. In her earlier role as MultiCare's vice president of facilities management and operational support services, Buyok oversaw real estate strategy, facilities management, construction, emergency management and numerous support services across the health system. Her influence can be seen in some of MultiCare's most significant projects and initiatives, including the new MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, major campus expansions at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, as well as MultiCare's growth in the Inland Northwest, Olympia and Yakima Valley regions. July 07, 2026 The Rush Companies in partnership with MultiCare is pleased to announce the opening of MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Therapy Services. The new pediatric therapy center in Tacoma brings comprehensive therapy services, audiology, and orthotics care closer to families across the South Sound. A New Home for Pediatric Therapy in Tacoma Located at 3307 S. 19th Street in Tacoma, the 16,000-square-foot facility officially began serving patients on June 30, 2026, expanding access to critical rehabilitation services for children and families throughout the region. Ouma Health expands MFM partnership with MultiCare Health System. Ouma Health is proud to announce the expansion of its Maternal-Fetal Medicine partnership with MultiCare Health System, one of the leading nonprofit health systems in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past year, Ouma has had the privilege of supporting teleMFM services for Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, helping preserve and expand access to specialized high-risk pregnancy care for patients in Central Washington. That work has now grown into a broader relationship with MultiCare, expanding Ouma's support across two critical areas of care: First, Ouma is now supporting Maternal-Fetal Medicine services across six outpatient locations, helping MultiCare expand access to specialized consultations, ultrasound review, and high-risk pregnancy expertise for patients throughout the region.
