Requirements
  • Must have at least an active or current Secret security clearance.
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline being performed, including five years in the Department of Defense.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline being performed, including five years in the Department of Defense.
  • Alternatively, fifteen years of directly related experience with the proper certifications described in the Performance Work Statement labor category performance requirements, including eight years in the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing management plans for organizational-level, organizational-level-plus, and depot-level maintenance, repair, and overhaul of air vehicles, propulsion systems, and support equipment.
  • Provide management and oversight plans for testing, inspection, and development in accordance with Lead the Fleet schedules and requirements.
  • Assist with organizational-level-plus and depot-level maintenance scheduling and plans.
  • Assist with management and oversight of contracting for commercial maintenance activity process planning.
  • Assist in ensuring that the maintenance-related action request handling, disposition, and resolution process is effective within the program management office, including coordination as required.
  • Provide analysis and execution support for mission changes, maintenance concept changes, and base or mission movements.
  • Perform what-if analysis from an enterprise perspective.
  • Participate in weapon system health meetings, working groups, improvement process teams, and other forums.
  • Assist with technical analyses, planning, and execution, and assist the government in reviewing technical specifications and documentation supporting Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Safety, and Interoperability efforts to facilitate and update sustainment issues related to the Logistics Capability Support Plan and Integrated Support Plan.
  • Provide analyses of configuration, deliveries, and deficiencies, and analyze and assist with integrating training system requirements into production program plans and documentation.
  • Maintain data files for all fifth-generation fighter depot and modification aircraft from cradle to grave.
  • Identify and provide recommendations or solutions regarding candidate opportunities to reduce weapon system total ownership costs.
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled depot maintenance and modification tasks and weapon system sustainment activities.
  • Gather and organize required data to support in-depth government technical evaluations and provide recommendations for depot-level maintenance and modification requirements.
  • Support trial installations, kit proofs, and time compliance technical order or technical data verification.
  • Report findings, kit issues, and corrective actions, and make recommendations to the responsible modification manager.
  • Continually assess the effects of fleet demand, available personnel levels, and operational tempo to support effective management of support operations and continuous process improvement plans.
  • Determine optimal depot capacity and existing and future contracts for specific capacity and capabilities, and forecast depot demand requirements to correctly size depot capacity.
  • Review Logistics Support Analysis documentation for recommended changes to Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability codes from depot to field level or from field to depot level of repair, considering the availability of adequate technical documentation, support equipment, and skills required to accomplish the repair at the requested level.
