Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure departmental orientation processes are in place and new hires receive appropriate training.
  • Ensure department heads use available on-the-job training tools; supervise ongoing training initiatives, record them, and conduct training when needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the new-hire orientation program, emphasizing guest service in the company culture.
  • Ensure all new hires attend training programs and the leadership team participates.
  • Develop an effective annual training plan based on annual appraisals and personal development plans and aligned with hotel goals and objectives.
  • Liaise with department heads regarding departmental training requirements and attendance at planned training courses, and develop training actions as needed.
  • Structure and monitor the hotel's annual training budget with support from the Director of Talent and Culture, keeping training expenses within budget.
  • Identify training needs and actions from guest feedback, Voice of Guest, guest satisfaction surveys, and other sources.
  • Publish annual and quarterly training calendars and maximize attendance through communication with department heads.
  • Develop, source, and conduct training courses scheduled in the training calendar.
  • Advise managers and employees on training opportunities, career choices, qualifications, and other people and culture issues.
  • Develop effective relationships with universities, colleges, training providers, and other training managers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities.
  • Respond to employee training requests in a timely manner and follow up where appropriate.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of pre- and post-course briefings and identify future training needs.
  • Monitor departmental and on-the-job training, including department induction, trainers, and processes, to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Monitor the correct application of hotel policies, standards, and procedures in coordination with departmental leaders.
