Requirements
  • 5 years hands-on experience with complex integrated systems or products

Responsibilities
  • Deliver stages that are factory-acceptance-tested and ready for integrated test to the Stage Test RE in Moses Lake and support future operations as required
  • Own the engineering definition of all multi-subsystem integrated assemblies
  • This includes the product structure, drawings, and work instructions that cross multiple subsystems from an integrated forward module to the full vehicle
  • This explicitly includes coordination of multiple teams to produce an integrated product and requires multidisciplinary understanding of rockets
  • Own, track, and communicate any deltas to the nominal definition, design, and configuration for specific serial numbers of the stage in coordination with other engineering leaders at Stoke
  • Own the stage integration & factory acceptance. This includes technical integration, schedule, and CONOPs
  • You will work with a variety of teams to make this happen, but the successful integration and initial checkout of the stage is your responsibility
  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure that we have the necessary infrastructure to accomplish the stage build and factory acceptance test goals
  • Work with the test team to ensure clean hand-offs from the factory acceptance checkouts to the integrated testing
  • Drive continuous improvement of design, manufacturing, and checkouts of rocket stages
  • Support the Stage Lead in other ancillary tasks related to integrated system design and build
  • Work on-site at Kent Headquarters (WA) but be able to travel to both Moses Lake Test Site (WA) and the Cape Canaveral Launch Site (FL) to support operations on either side of your interface as needed

Stoke Space raises $860M in extended Series D to accelerate Nova rocket development

Stoke Space Technologies has extended its Series D funding round to $860 million, up from the $510 million initially announced in October 2025. The rocket company is developing fully and rapidly reusable medium-lift launch vehicles. The original funding was earmarked for completing Launch Complex 14 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and expanding production capacity for its Nova launch vehicle. The additional capital will accelerate future elements of the company's product roadmap. Founded by CEO Andy Lapsa, Stoke has now raised $1.34 billion in total funding. The company is backed by the US Space Force, Defence Innovation Unit, NASA and the National Science Foundation, amongst other government and private partners. Terms of the funding extension were not disclosed.
