Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Curriculum Support: In collaboration with an academic mentor, design and implement the Lab.
  • Artistic & Technical Mentorship: Provide individualized technical guidance and artistic mentorship to students throughout the Lab, supporting the development of their creative projects for the final exhibit.
  • Student Support & Communication: Respond to student inquiries during Lab sessions and via email, offering feedback and troubleshooting support related to artistic techniques, materials, and project execution.
  • Materials Coordination: Manage the procurement and organization of materials necessary for student projects, ensuring timely availability and alignment with project needs.
  • Exhibit Preparation: Provide technical expertise to the planning and execution of the final exhibit, assisting with installation, presentation, and documentation of student work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong background in visual and/or multimedia arts
  • Experience in collaborative, community-based, or educational art settings
  • Familiarity with gender, women and sexuality studies theories and methods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to support diverse artistic practices and learning styles
