Position Summary:
Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-timeArts & Technical Facilitator for the GITA’s Applied/Queer/Trans Feminist Lab series. This interdisciplinary edition of the Lab explores abolitionist frameworks through artistic expression, engaging students in critical dialogue and creative production.
Required Qualifications:
- BA or BSc
Preferred Qualifications:
-Strong background in visual and/or multimedia arts
-Experience in collaborative, community-based, or educational art settings
-Familiarity with gender, women and sexuality studies theories and methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to support diverse artistic practices and learning styles
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative Curriculum Support:
In collaboration with an academic mentor, design and implement the Lab.
Artistic & Technical Mentorship:
Provide individualized technical guidance and artistic mentorship to students throughout the Lab, supporting the development of their creative projects for the final exhibit.
Student Support & Communication:
Respond to student inquiries during Lab sessions and via email, offering feedback and troubleshooting support related to artistic techniques,
materials, and project execution.
Materials Coordination:
Manage the procurement and organization of materials necessary for student projects, ensuring timely availability and alignment with project needs.
Exhibit Preparation:
Provide technical expertise to the planning and execution of the final exhibit, assisting with installation, presentation, and documentation of student work.
This position is a Temporary position that is not benefits-eligible.
