Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required, or four years of related experience may be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of experience in account management, sales, or client relationship management within the health insurance or employee benefits space is required.
  • Experience developing and sustaining credibility and relationships with consultants, customers, the sales team, and all levels of the internal organization.
  • Ability to create and conduct effective presentations, including delivering and explaining a self-funded and/or large group renewal.
  • Experience developing and monitoring objectives and strategies and implementing action plans to achieve goals.
  • Working knowledge of Blue Cross operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Clear and concise verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating decision-making and presentations in a large group setting.
  • Demonstrated skills in coordination, problem solving, decision-making, and negotiation.
  • Must be able to travel 70% of the time within the state and 10% of the time out of state, including occasional overnight stays.
  • A valid Louisiana state health and life insurance license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, plan, and implement a block of highly complex, large group accounts to meet specified targets and service accounts to expand the business and meet corporate and divisional sales and renewal objectives.
  • Act as a consultant to strategic accounts, retain and sell all lines of business including health and ancillary products, and retain, service, and upgrade existing group accounts.
  • Work closely with the assigned account executive as the primary project manager to develop tactical plans and execute the account strategy.
  • Establish and enhance relationships with existing groups and producers to maintain the highest level of retention with group accounts.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the group renewal process, serving as the main contact for organizing meetings with appropriate internal personnel and major group decision makers to attain company retention goals.
  • Conduct employee enrollment meetings and answer related benefit questions to promote accurate and expedient group renewals.
  • Analyze client needs to develop, design, and recommend or implement product improvements or additions.
  • Present to producers and existing customers by providing a comprehensive analysis of benefits and rates, introducing and selling ancillary products to increase product offerings in group health accounts, and recommending additional coverage to existing groups and brokers.
  • Negotiate with clients and Underwriting regarding prices or rates for specific plans and options, and develop alternative plans or modifications to lower rates.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in office visits for prospective or renewing groups by determining home-office staff participants, assisting with presentations, and determining which company areas should be toured.
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of telephone conversations, notes, meetings, and documents sent to internal and external contacts through the corporate automated tracking system.
  • Perform other job-related duties within the scope of responsibilities.

Hogan has served on the company's Senior Management Team since 2019, most recently as SVP, Care Delivery and president of Louisiana Blue's wholly owned subsidiary, eleHealth. In her new role, Hogan will set and execute the strategic direction for the company's Medicare Advantage business and Healthy Blue joint venture (Medicaid), with full accountability for performance across growth, operations, financial results, regulatory compliance and vendor partnerships. "Since expanding our Medicare Advantage offerings statewide almost a decade ago, we have made meaningful progress growing our membership and we believe that growth will only accelerate," said Brian Keller, Louisiana Blue's chief growth officer. Louisiana Blue and Keep Louisiana Beautiful continue partnership for clean and healthy communities. Louisiana Blue partnered with Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) for the fifth annual Love the Boot Week, held April 18-26, 2026, to highlight the connection between a clean environment and a healthy Louisiana. As one of the first and longest-running supporters of Love the Boot Week, Louisiana Blue recognizes that litter negatively impacts community health and quality of life. This year, Louisiana Blue supported four cleanup and beautification projects in regions where their offices are located. In addition to providing funding, Louisiana Blue encouraged employee participation, offering staff a hands-on opportunity to engage in meaningful, community-strengthening volunteer work. In the Monroe area, Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful led an event to both clean up and beautify an area near downtown Monroe. Louisiana Blue team members volunteered alongside other community partners to pick up litter and refurbish gardens in front of the Parish Police Jury building. They planted flowers and installed a memorial sign dedicating the garden to the late director of Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful, Lisa Richardson, who was a fierce advocate for her community. In the New Orleans area, Louisiana Blue supported lowernine.org, an organization working to restore and revitalize New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward. This collaborative event brought together volunteers from Louisiana Blue, Entergy, the Green Project, NORD, New Orleans City Department of Sanitation, The New Orleans Saints, and community members from across the Lower 9th Ward. Forty-five volunteers worked together clearing illegally dumped trash and debris from the streets, cleaning and beautifying Oliver Bush Park, and clearing overgrown corner lots. They removed an estimated 6,000 pounds of waste tires, and many of these were repurposed and painted to create colorful flower planters around the playground at Oliver Bush Park. In Shreveport, the Love the Earth Day Celebration at Shreveport Green's Urban Farm expanded its reach and impact by bringing together environmental organizations, educators, local farmers, artists, and community partners for a day of hands-on learning and environmental action. Through interactive activities, educational demonstrations, garden-to-table cooking experiences, and youth engagement opportunities, the event promoted sustainability and strengthened connections to local food systems and environmental stewardship. A highlight was the unveiling of a community-painted mural on a 5,000-gallon cistern, creating a lasting symbol of Louisiana's ecosystems and community pride. Support from Louisiana Blue, including volunteer participation and funding, helped make the mural and the event possible. Louisiana Blue also played a key role in KLB's kickoff event held in downtown Baton Rouge. The celebration included networking, a partner expo, speakers, and a litter cleanup. Louisiana Blue employees were returning volunteers for both the reception and the cleanup. Each year, a large group of Team Blue volunteers can be counted on to roll up their sleeves and make an impact in their community. Through their ongoing sponsorship and employee involvement, Louisiana Blue continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to community wellness and environmental stewardship.
