Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver brilliant, accurate and differentiated news content across The i Paper’s political, investigative, and breaking newsdesks
  • Cultivate a culture of exclusivity with a laser focus on high-impact journalism, identifying and delivering stories that differentiate The i Paper from its competitors
  • Generate intelligent, deliverable ideas that elevate news beyond the daily agenda
  • Implement strong news planning systems to develop subscriber content, with robust organisation and cross-newsroom creativity
  • Embed use of data-driven insights across the newsroom, using metrics to inspire ideas
  • Work with audience colleagues to develop multi-platform content, improving digital storytelling across The i Paper's channels
  • Ensure all news content is accurate and adheres to the highest standards, building and maintaining The i Paper's reputation for trustworthy reporting
  • Oversee management of the news rota, helping to plan staffing for major news events as required
