Requirements
  • Applicants will hold a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. with college-level teaching experience.
Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses that support students majoring in Human Development and Family Studies and in Psychology.
  • Participate in course, curriculum, and program development; advise students; provide career guidance; participate in campus, University, and community service activities; and engage in activities to stay current in one’s discipline.
  • Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected.
  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
Desired Qualifications
  • MFT or CFLE credential preferred.
  • Experience with teaching in hybrid and online formats is preferred.
  • Ability to teach a range of courses including introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, childhood intervention, child development, teen and adolescent development, ethics and values in human development professions, counseling psychology, and related topic areas; and to teach lower- and upper-division courses that support the HDFS and Psychology majors and General Education requirements.
