Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Select, qualify, and release electronic and electromechanical components, including connectors, cables, and related hardware.
  • Review and approve component specifications, datasheets, and drawings for new product introductions.
  • Partner with design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper component integration and compatibility.
  • Evaluate alternate and second-source components to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Monitor component lifecycle events, including product change notifications, end-of-life, and obsolescence, and drive proactive mitigation plans.
  • Support failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective actions for component-related issues.
  • Ensure components meet regulatory, environmental, and reliability requirements, including Restriction of Hazardous Substances and Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.
  • Maintain and improve component databases, part numbering, and documentation standards.
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical and quality concerns.
  • Perform other related duties representative of the position.

The investment is anchored by a new, 165,000 square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This site will serve as a hub for high-volume production, leveraging Utah's strong technology ecosystem and highly skilled workforce. The expansion is anticipated to create 200 new roles. This capacity increase will enable Silvus to scale production of its mission-critical StreamCaster MANET radios, while continuing to innovate and uphold the rigorous quality standards that users in the defense, law enforcement and public safety industries depend on.
