Requirements
- A U.S. citizen must apply.
- Sophomore, junior, or senior year.
- Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics major.
- Experience with engineering laboratory test equipment and assembly tools.
- LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink, Computer-Aided Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with electrical design, mechanical design, analysis tools, signal processing, software development, modeling, or embedded systems.
- This is a student internship within the Engineering Systems Research and Development Division of the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State.
- Candidates will work up to 20 hours per week in fall and spring semesters and up to 40 hours per week in the summer.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation.
- Employment will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Work within a team environment on research and engineering opportunities.
- These positions cover a broad range of engineering disciplines in all aspects of system development.
