  • High school diploma with trade school certification in CAD Electrical fields or AA degree in Electrical fields relevant experience or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in MEP field
  • Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience, required, as you will have a very strong technical role
  • Able to perform calculation for his/her trade to support design; possess basic knowledge of systems design for various projects.

Responsibilities
  • As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout; calculations; and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other internal and external.
  • Assume responsible charge for the overall economic well-being of the assigned projects.
  • Conduct business development activities.
  • Conducts due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures. Establishes design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
  • Designs large projects, prepares reports and specifications, and provides a very high level of technical leadership.
  • Establishes project budgets and schedules.
  • Networks within SHG and outside.
  • Participates in QA/QC process of completed work by staff.
  • Participates in various trade organizations and prepare presentations.
  • Performs 'Engineer of Record' duties for projects.
  • Performs calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
  • Performs staff resource management and review.
  • Produces drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
  • Provides consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.
  • Pursues continuing education.
  • Represents Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
  • Take responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues.
