Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate intern to join the team responsible for building and scaling Illumio Endpoint, Illumio’s newest product which extends Illumio’s Zero Trust Segmentation solution to laptops and workstations.

• You will have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in school about operating systems, distributed systems, and networking to a real product deployed on our SaaS, inside customers’ datacenters, and on customers’ laptops.

• After learning the basics, you’ll be paired with a mentor and own the entire lifecycle of a feature in Illumio Endpoint. You will design, build, and deliver an elegant, scalable, stable, secure, and supportable solution. Illumio protects the critical infrastructure of large enterprises – it must work.

• On the server side, we write code primarily in Ruby and use PostgreSQL and Redis in the data layer. On the endpoint agent, our code is primarily written in C++ with some platform-specific scripts.

Experience:

• In-progress BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field. 

• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.  

• Proficiency in at least one higher-level programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Go, Java) and/or proficiency in C++.

• Coursework or experience in web applications and databases, distributed systems engineering, and/or operating systems engineering.

• Coursework or experience with networking, security, and/or Windows/macOS application development is a bonus, but not required.

Pay Range:

$ 45/hr
