Requirements
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance or manufacturing experience, preferably in dairy or other plant-based industries; ideally 1+ year of factory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, engineering, or similar
  • HACCP certified and demonstrated strong HACCP and regulatory skills
  • Completed certification status as Certified Food Safety Manager or equivalent
  • SQF practitioner certification and/or a pathway towards completion in 2023
  • Able to articulate how Kaizen, Lean, Six-sigma and statistical process control influenced your approach to quality
  • Experienced in not only seamlessly working within Quality programs but have built and implemented new programs
  • Possess an ownership mindset and are a strategic thinker, setting goals and priorities, creating and executing plans, measuring KPIs and metrics, and aligning tactics

Responsibilities
  • Lead the quality workstream within Eclipse working directly with key stakeholders to ensure all manufactured goods meet or exceed our highest quality standards
  • Define, establish and implement Quality Management Systems and Food Safety programs to ensure consumer and regulatory requirements compliance (local, state, federal, GMP, SQF). Proactively ensure the QMS system scales with the business
  • Resolves non-conformance issues/quality problems at plant facilities, warehouses, and in the market. Works with plant management and quality teams to develop corrective action plans and communicates plans to all key stakeholders (Ops, R&D, Sales, Marketing, and the Customer) as appropriate
  • Creates and manages audit programs with all manufacturing, warehousing locations and suppliers
  • Proactively advises on quality and food safety implications of changes in formulation, sourcing, processing, or facility design
  • Manage all quality programs and functions within the Eclipse Pilot Plant, including all certifications and registrations with federal, state and local entities
  • Tracks and scorecards all quality data making statistically sound recommendations on product specifications, frequency and types of testing
  • Leads quality improvement projects in collaboration with R&D and Ops
  • Ensures robust finished good specifications are created and audited against. Maintains active specification repository
  • Responsible for the creation of product regulatory documentation, including nutritional panels, ingredient statements, etc
  • Ensures all SOPs and work instructions related to manufacturing, safety, and product quality/ performance are completed, utilized and audited
