About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Technical Designer who enjoys weaving creative problem solving with technical accuracy to support creating amazing products. You will report directly into the TD Director and be responsible for supporting across multiple product categories for the Technical Design Team. You will help to ensure best in class fit and that quality standards are well-executed and consistent across all styles.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

• Support Technical Designer’s with fit preparation, measuring of samples and assisting with the set up of Tech Packs and processing of fit comments across multi product categories.
• Support product category fit sessions across Mens, Kids and Womenswear.
• Help with sample organization by working closely with external Vendor partners on the tracking and logging of fit samples ensuring weekly workload tracker is up to date.
• Help with the co-ordination of competitor samples and product fit reviews.
• Execute any Technical Design manual or fit glossary updates
• Work with Technical Designers to meet seasonal deadlines
• Learn how to read and leverage client feedback to establish fit consistency, determine trouble areas and supporting the team with implementing product action plans
• Build close relationships with cross-functional team members and external vendors
• Utilize innovative technology including 2D & 3D pattern software, and data platforms

• You are proficient in Adobe Illustrator, G-Suite and have experience in PLM, Optitex, 2D pattern systems 
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication
• You have the ability to work independently or part of a team
• You are an excellent multi-tasker, extremely detail oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills
• You are passionate about using data science and client feedback to make informed decisions
• You have a basic understanding in the following: Textiles, pattern making, grading, construction and pattern terminology
• You can problem solve and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• You have a B.A./B.S. from a 4-year university with a major in a relevant field (i.e. Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Textiles, etc) with 1+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry
