Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum, or closely related field with two years of experience.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another (LMS).
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School or College experiences and teaching fields.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Design and create key elements of distance learning courses that align to organizational brand requirements as well as abide by institution and state accessibility requirements. Support product development through user testing for deployment across multiple constituencies, including testing and implementing new software related to course design and administration.
  • Develop instructional materials, such as instructional videos, audio, interactive learning experiences, and other products for redesign and development of courses and professional learning products using data-driven approaches under the direction of the Assistant Director of Educational Technologies and OnRamps guidelines.
  • Present and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instructional delivery options that enhance learner retention and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, or courseware standards in consultation with the Assistant Director of Educational Technologies.
  • Utilize data to apply the principle of continuous improvement to special projects related to distance learning products.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education, curriculum, or closely related field.
  • Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery.
  • Experience developing and maintaining online courses within an LMS.
  • Three or more years teaching experience in a high school or college environment.
