THE TEAM
You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals focused on ensuring the safety and security of our platform and its users. Our team is made up of experts in risk management, fraud prevention, data science, and user behavior analysis. We work collaboratively to develop and implement strategies to protect our users from harm. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for our users to discover and attend events, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for this mission.
THE ROLE
You are passionate about the customer experience, comfortable balancing friction for end users with the safety and security of the platform, and adept at incorporating leading-edge risk mitigation solutions. You will be responsible for defining the vision and strategy, leading a team in building world-class risk and fraud detection and mitigation solutions, and being a trust and safety thought leader across the company. You will make data-driven product decisions supported by metrics, user research, and user behavior monitoring in order to identify and mitigate potential threats. You will work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders and will collaborate with other product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and integrity operations staff, both within and across business units. Your role is critical in ensuring that our users have a safe and secure experience on our platform.
THE SKILLSET
- Minimum 8 years of experience in technical product management
- Experience designing, building, and governing fraud management platforms that enable a positive user experience while also managing risk
- Expert knowledge of tools, systems and processes supporting threat detection, payment transactions, operational procedures, and risk scoring
- Expert knowledge of modern web application design, development, security, monitoring, analysis, SDLC, and CI/CD tools
- Strong experience with data structures, analytics, and AI/ML models
- Consistent track record of bringing strong product thinking to internal solutions and infrastructure, encompassing build vs. buy analyses and large-scale migrations and implementations
- Exceptional communication skills that enable clear articulation of vision, strategy, and execution
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills with data-driven approach to decision-making
- Strong prioritization and focus, including comfort making tradeoffs with incomplete information
- Ability to influence team members across all departments and levels of the organization
- Ability to rapidly understand user needs, respond to tight deadlines, and deliver solutions that drive key business metrics
- 4-year degree BS/BA in a technical, business or other analytical field required
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Eventbrite, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $126,000 to $201,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in Eventbrite’s incentive program(s) (such as equity, annual incentive bonus and commission plans), subject to the applicable rules and restrictions.
