Requirements
  • At least 6 years of hands-on Workday Human Resources Information System experience in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of human resources business processes.
  • Experience supporting critical annual performance, compensation, and open-enrollment cycles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cross-functional dependencies across Benefits, Payroll, and Compensation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and data issues.
Responsibilities
  • Configure and support Workday Core Human Capital Management worker lifecycle events, including hiring, job changes, transfers, and leave.
  • Maintain and optimize Supervisory Organizations, Staffing Models, Positions, Job Profiles, and Job Families.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across worker, job and position, and organizational structures.
  • Partner with Human Resources to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Support Workday Security configuration, including security groups, domains, and business process security.
  • Troubleshoot access issues related to tasks, reports, and business processes.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Information Technology, and compliance teams on access provisioning and periodic security reviews.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and least-privilege access.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Talent modules, including Performance Reviews, Goals, Feedback, and Succession Planning.
  • Support annual and off-cycle performance processes, including year-end performance cycles.
  • Configure review templates, sections, rating scales, eligibility conditions, and related business processes.
  • Support continuous enhancements to talent profiles, competencies, and development plans.
  • Configure and maintain business processes across Human Capital Management, Time and Absence, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll.
  • Maintain approval workflows, notifications, condition rules, validations, and step-level security.
  • Ensure business-process-framework configuration aligns with internal controls, audit requirements, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide application support for Workday configuration related to benefits, compensation, and payroll-dependent objects.
  • Configure and maintain eligibility rules, compensation plans, calculated fields, and business processes.
  • Partner with Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll teams to support open enrollment, merit and bonus cycles, audits, and compliance-driven changes.
  • Configure and maintain Time Calculation, Time Entry Codes, Work Schedules, Time Schedules, and eligibility settings.
  • Configure and maintain Absence Plans, Accruals, Eligibility Rules, Period Schedules, and validations.
  • Design, build, and support custom reports, including Advanced and Matrix reports and dashboards.
  • Create and maintain calculated fields, including LRV, ESI, Lookup, Conditional, and Arithmetic fields.
  • Ensure report data accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Support Workday releases through release-notes review, impact assessment, adoption activities, and testing.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, configuration, and user experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Workday Human Capital Management certification is strongly preferred.
  • Additional relevant Workday certifications are a strong plus.
  • Payroll experience is a plus.
  • Being local to the Boston office is a strong plus.

Clay raises funding at $7B valuation, more than doubling in a year

Clay, a New York-based startup selling AI tools for sales and marketing teams, has agreed to a new funding round led by Wellington Management at a $7 billion pre-money valuation, Axios reported on 31 August. The round's exact size has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether it has fully closed. The valuation marks Clay's third jump in about a year, up from $3.1 billion in August 2025 and $5 billion in a January 2026 employee tender offer led by DST Global. The company was founded in 2017 by Kareem Amin and Nicolae Rusan. Clay markets itself as a go-to-market platform that pulls data from over 150 external sources and uses AI agents to research prospects and personalise outbound sales messages. Its customers reportedly include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Canva.

Avere Therapeutics raises $500M to advance once-weekly oral IL-23 therapy AVR-001

Avere Therapeutics announced a $500 million private placement to advance AVR-001, its once-weekly oral IL-23 receptor antagonist for inflammatory diseases. Leading healthcare investors including Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, General Atlantic, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, and Wellington Management participated in the funding round. Combined with a previously announced $320 million concurrent private investment, the proceeds will fully fund Avere's operations through 2029. Tarsus Pharmaceuticals has secured $125 million through an oversubscribed private placement equity financing.
