  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrochemistry or chemical/mechanical/material science engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in testing and validation of Lithium ion/Lithium battery cells
  • Knowledge of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)
  • Proficiency in using battery testing equipment such as Arbin, Maccor, and other industry standard instrumentation
  • Experience in designing and conducting abuse testing protocols for lithium battery cells
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation techniques
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with customers and external test labs
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel functionality including VBA macro management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to documentation management
  • Serve as the team leader for cell validation at Solid Power
  • Coordinate within cell technologies to develop validation plans and protocols
  • Support the cell testing team and follow the tests through completion
  • Analyze and evaluate test data
  • Interface with customers to understand and manage external requirements
  • Prepare detailed validation reports and present them to key stakeholders
  • Serve as a point of contact for external test labs
  • Support cell development activities through collaboration and feedback
  • Participate in and lead DFMEA sessions
  • Develop and maintain traceability matrices
  • Use the company’s document and change control system to properly archive technical documentation
