- A high school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of manufacturing, fabrication, machining, computer numerical control, laser processing, metal fabrication, automated production, or related industrial experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn advanced manufacturing technology.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Ability to use tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to recognize quality concerns and communicate effectively with production and support teams.
- Operate advanced computer numerical control laser systems for precision three-dimensional laser cutting and automated robotic laser welding.
- Load, position, and secure materials and components into laser equipment and precision welding fixtures.
- Select approved production programs and verify the correct materials, tooling, fixtures, and documentation.
- Monitor automated manufacturing cycles for machine performance and product quality.
- Follow standardized work instructions while meeting production, quality, and scheduling expectations.
- Cross-train across multiple laser technologies and production cells as skills develop.
- Experience with computer numerical control, three-dimensional laser cutting, robotic welding, computer numerical control fabrication, or other advanced manufacturing.
- Exposure to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, or lean manufacturing.
