Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 - 10 years of experience with high voltage substation design
  • Strong knowledge of utility standards, NESC, and construction techniques
  • Exposure to Bentley Projectwise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF
  • Professional Engineering License is preferred
  • Willingness to travel
Responsibilities
  • Act as lead engineer on substation design projects
  • Delegate tasks to less experienced engineers and design technicians
  • Ensure projects remain under budget and on schedule
  • Coordinate with internal/external team members on projects
  • Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Assist in developing and updating engineering standards
  • Attend and conduct client and project meetings
  • Create scope, budget, and schedule for project tasks
  • Assist with proposals, marketing, and technical presentations
  • Develop electrical design deliverables
  • Prepare engineering calculations/studies related to substation projects
  • Maintain client relations and a safe working environment
