Overview:
The CDCF seeks to develop a sustainable surge COVID-19 workforce to support the Division of Immunization in the Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services at the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau for Public Health. This position travels the assigned region of West Virginia to conduct site audits in vaccination sites to include offices, clinics, hospitals, distribution hubs and Local Health Department offices and others identified. It also involves completion of required CDC data input, paperwork, and audits.
Locations:
Region 1, South: Counties served include Raleigh, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Summers, Wyoming, Braxton, Clay, Kanawha, Fayette, Greenbrier, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Webster.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in ongoing training from CDC Foundation.
• Ensure all required site visits are completed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with other Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure all sites throughout West Virginia are audited.
• Perform site visits to include looking at patient charts, refrigerator and freezer, certificates of calibration, review paperwork, answer questions, and training.
• Ensure audits comply with policies and procedures regarding confidential information and data security for the handling of sensitive client information and protected health information.
• Understand public and behavioral health data.
• Foster partnerships.
• Travel 50-60 miles per day in a personal vehicle.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science or closely related field and two years of health-related experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable private transportation.
• Must have experience protecting confidentiality and privacy of data.
• Experience with research and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with quality care standards.

This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties.
