Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or business or healthcare administration required, or 8 years related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 five years of healthcare administration experience, including a minimum of 2 years in provider credentialing preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Complete familiarity with computers and database management is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative direction for all faculty credentialing and continuing medical education activities within the Department of Emergency Medicine.
  • Directly manage credentialing activities for Emergency Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all physician and advanced practice providers (APP) onboarding within the assigned Department.
  • Monitor the provider onboarding processes within the physician practice and coordinate efforts of multiple departments including the medical staff office, the legal/contracting department, human resources, payer enrollment/credentialing and IT.
  • Maintain the Department provider database to include current licenses, board certification, medical command, CV, ATLS, malpractice certificates, and other necessary credentialing documents required for site surveys.
  • Provide support for continuing medical education (CME) programs as assigned by the Education Division.
