Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with combined experience and education accepted as a substitute for the minimum education requirement.

Responsibilities
- Independently manage and coordinate required Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee training programs for Principal Investigators, laboratory personnel, and committee members.
- Track and document completion of required training.
- Maintain training records and generate compliance reports.
- Develop and update training materials in collaboration with Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee leadership.
- Serve as a point of contact for training-related inquiries.
- Coordinate semi-annual and focused Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee inspections.
- Develop inspection schedules and communicate with investigators and laboratory personnel.
- Track inspection findings, corrective actions, and completion timelines.
- Maintain inspection documentation in iStar and related systems.
- Assist with updating inspection procedures to reflect system enhancements and regulatory changes.
- Provide administrative support for the Designated Member Review process.
- Prepare and distribute Designated Member Review materials to designated reviewers.
- Track review timelines and ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
- Communicate with investigators regarding required revisions.
- Maintain documentation of Designated Member Review actions in compliance with federal regulations and institutional policy.
- Assist in maintaining protocol records and ensuring data accuracy in iStar.
- Support audit preparation and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Generate metrics and reports related to inspections, training, and Designated Member Review activity.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Serve as backup to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Administrator as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in research administration, compliance, or regulatory oversight.
- Familiarity with federal animal research regulations, including Public Health Service Policy and the Animal Welfare Act.
- Experience with compliance or research administration systems, such as iStar.
