Requirements
- A college degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Experience in program management is required.
- Experience in curriculum development is required.
- The ability to multitask and plan for multiple activities simultaneously is required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
- The ability to connect and communicate effectively with parents and children is required.
- The role requires working Sundays and church-recognized religious holidays.
- The role requires working onsite for 20–25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support all areas of program ministry for children and families from birth through fifth grade.
- Work with staff, families, and volunteers to disciple kindergarten through second-grade participants.
- Prepare lessons and materials for three Sunday School hours covering pre-kindergarten through second grade.
- Coordinate teacher volunteers for Sunday mornings.
- Assist in planning and leading teacher-training workshops.
- Plan and execute seasonal events for children and families, specifically events for elementary families.
- Build community for families with elementary-age children.
- Recruit volunteer teachers for the school year, summer, and special events throughout the year.
- Attend and participate in quarterly Children’s Leadership Council meetings.
- Help manage and provide content for Children’s Ministry social media.
- Help create and implement strategic plans to fulfill the church’s and children’s ministries’ annual goals.
Desired Qualifications
- A college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may substitute.
- A strong work ethic is preferred.
