Requirements
  • Five years of experience in flight operations.
  • A Federal Aviation Administration Flight Dispatcher License.
  • Knowledge of SITA, ARINC, LIDO, Jeppesen, and Sabre communication and flight planning software is preferred.
  • Training in 14 CFR Parts 121, 129, 135, 120, and 49 CFR Part 40 as required by the carrier assignment.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies and airports.
  • Ability to perform aircraft performance calculations.
  • Ability to prioritize functions, work efficiently, and manage time.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate flight operation and control activities of regional stations through flight dispatchers and subordinate personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies, airports, federal and state regulations, company regulations, and airline regulations.
  • Ensure flight safety.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of computerized flight and air traffic control plans for international, trans-Pacific, and trans-Atlantic flights.
  • Provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews, and analyze weather Notices to Air Missions and air traffic control data to ensure safe operations and compliance with airline standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee and manage the Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments.
  • Liaise with upper management, clients, vendors, airport authorities, and government authorities to ensure station activities remain compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Manage and develop Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance personnel to maximize on-time performance, staffing, training, and safety.
  • Prepare staff work schedules to optimize utilization of human resources and facilities.
  • Prepare and submit reports concerning flight operations, payroll, and client billing.
  • Operate within the budget.
