Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years combined experience working in a developer, product owner or business analyst role
  • 2+ years of troubleshooting application issues and system integration.
  • Prior experience in real estate credit industry, commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development, project management, design and development.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, Agile.
  • Foundation of knowledge with SQL, data modeling patterns and ability to self-serve on routine data analysis needs.
  • Creation and management of Microsoft Excel financial models a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and communications skills with the ability to develop and communicate vision and complexity in a manner that inspires and motivates staff and stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively facilitate meetings, grooming calls, workshops, demonstrate brainstorming/consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors/business owners.
  • Strong relationship building with business customers to understand their challenges and elicit requirements.
  • Ability to write precise and clear technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the customer, business and/or technical team.
  • Document, maintain and prioritize business requirements and specifications with business customers and third party application vendors.
  • Provide project management responsibilities as needed for small to mid-sized projects.
  • Communicate status reporting, executive updates, and ad hoc presentations.
  • Assist with new feature development and maintenance of the Firm’s special servicing and asset management platforms. Activities include but are not limited to the creation of custom workflows, custom reports, custom dashboards, data management, document management and management of security controls.
  • Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor to the business unit to drive efficiencies, identify trends and seek out drivers of positive results.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Analyze the data captured and find anomalies and inconsistencies.
