Edenred has completed its acquisition of The Mobility House Solutions, strengthening its electric fleet charging capabilities and expanding its presence
Edenred completes acquisition of The Mobility House Solutions. Edenred has completed its acquisition of The Mobility House Solutions, strengthening its position in the European fleet electrification market. The business, which specialises in turnkey charging infrastructure and intelligent energy management for fleets, will now operate under the name Edenred E-Mobility GmbH. By Florian Treiss 03.08.2026 - 15:33 Following the transaction announced in June, the former The Mobility House subsidiary is combining its technological expertise with the global sales network of B2B mobility service provider UTA Edenred. The company offers fuel and charging cards, among other fleet services, and serves more than 300,000 corporate customers worldwide. The portfolio continues to centre on the manufacturer-independent ChargePilot charging and energy management system, which is designed to prevent grid overloads and reduce operating costs for fleet operators. Drawing on experience from more than 2,700 managed projects and over 2,500 actively supported fleet depots, Edenred E-Mobility GmbH positions itself as an end-to-end partner for businesses, logistics fleets, car dealerships and property operators. Its portfolio covers the entire value chain, from manufacturer-independent consulting and charging infrastructure installation to technical support and billing services. The company also integrates home charging for company car drivers into its offering. For The Mobility House, the sale marks a strategic shift towards new business areas. As previously announced, the company plans to focus more strongly on vehicle-to-grid technology, flexibility marketing and energy trading. At the same time, it will remain commercially connected to Edenred through its Energy Unit, with the two companies continuing to work together to integrate electric fleets into the energy system as flexible energy assets. Heiko Bayer, Managing Director of Edenred E-Mobility GmbH, said the completed transaction marks the start of the company's next phase of growth. He expects demand for integrated B2B fleet charging solutions to continue rising and believes Edenred's global sales network will enable the company to scale its end-to-end offering more quickly. The aim is to provide customers with a unified charging platform covering depot, public and home charging. Pierre Jalady, CEO of UTA Edenred and Edenred Mobility EMEA, said the acquisition strengthens the company's strategy for fleet electrification. He highlighted Edenred E-Mobility GmbH's technical expertise and the ChargePilot energy management system as key additions to the group's portfolio, enabling it to offer fleet operators across Europe an integrated ecosystem designed to simplify and optimise the transition to electric mobility while reducing costs. For customers and partners, the transaction will not affect existing contracts, contact persons or the company's Munich headquarters. The established The Mobility House Solutions and ChargePilot brands will also remain in place, while only the company's legal name changes to Edenred E-Mobility GmbH. 0 comments. about "Edenred completes acquisition of The Mobility House Solutions"
Edenred Payment Solutions unveils Web Push Provisioning to simplify virtual card adoption. * Payments * 08.07.2026 10:51 am Edenred Payment Solutions, a leading payment services provider and regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI), today announced the launch of Web Push Provisioning (WPP), enabling organisations to deliver virtual payment cards directly to customers' digital wallets via web, SMS or email. By removing the need for users to download an app before adding a card to their digital wallet, the new capability reduces friction in the activation process and helps organisations increase adoption of virtual card programmes. Virtual card payments are expected to grow 235% by 2029, to exceed $17.4 trillion in value[1]. Despite this growth, friction in the card activation process remains a challenge. Many virtual card programmes still require recipients to download a dedicated application or manually add card details to a digital wallet, creating unnecessary steps that can hinder adoption and stifle growth in the sector. Edenred Payment Solutions' WPP removes these barriers by enabling virtual cards to be delivered directly to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet via SMS or email, without requiring users to download a dedicated mobile application or manually enter card details. The capability has been developed for industries such as insurance, assistance, and corporate expense management, where rapid access to funds and a seamless user experience are critical. The solution is already being deployed by leading assistance providers handling thousands of claims pay-outs per month. "Our new Web Push Provisioning feature represents a major step forward in delivering frictionless, secure payment experiences", said Rehana Mitha, Managing Director of Edenred Payment Solutions. "By simplifying virtual card activation, we empower enterprises, from insurers to corporates, to unlock the full value of digital payments at scale while improving security and operational efficiency. If a traveller is stranded in an airport because of a delayed flight, the last thing they want is to download an app, create an account and wait for funds to arrive. They need immediate access to the payout. Web Push Provisioning removes that friction by enabling virtual cards to be delivered directly into a digital wallet in just a few taps." "At Edenred Payment Solutions, we continually invest in innovations that improve both the user experience and operational outcomes for our customers," said Rich Logan, Product Director at Edenred Payment Solutions. "Web Push Provisioning is a perfect example, removing complexity and enabling organisations to scale virtual card programs confidently and securely, without a mobile app." The design of WPP addresses key barriers to virtual card adoption: * App-Free Wallet Provisioning: Users receive their virtual card directly into their Apple/Google wallets via web, email or SMS with no downloads required. * Simplified User Experience: Eliminating the need to manually enter card numbers and security codes reduces errors and enables faster card activation. * Tokenised Security: Certified by Mastercard, Visa, Apple and Google Wallets, sensitive card information is replaced with device-specific tokens to ensure secure compliance, helping to enhance security while maintaining a seamless user experience. * Faster Implementation: Lightweight web service APIs enable organisations to rapidly deploy WPP capabilities, overcoming lengthy development related to building and maintaining dedicated mobile applications. Edenred Payment Solutions developed WPP to help insurance and assistance providers issue virtual cards, for emergency expenses, such as lost luggage, delayed travel or urgent out-of-network auto repairs. Policyholders gain immediate access to funds when they need them the most, helping to reduce out-of-pocket costs and reimbursement delays. With WPP, finance teams can instantly distribute controlled virtual credit cards to contractors, mobile workers, or corporate travellers. Each card is preconfigured with spending limits and merchant restrictions, removing the need for employees to use personal cards. Additionally, finance departments gain real-time visibility into all expenditures. Using over 20 years of payment experience and technology investments, Edenred Payment Solutions uses its own in-house card issuing and processing systems to power WPP, which is currently available in the UK and Europe.
Edenred expands EV charging services with acquisition of The Mobility House Solutions. Tuesday, June 16, 2026 2:20 PM Edenred has signed an agreement to acquire The Mobility House Solutions, the German B2B fleet electrification business of The Mobility House Group. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026. The acquisition will expand Edenred's electromobility capabilities for corporate fleet operators in Germany, Austria, and wider European markets. The Mobility House Solutions provides turnkey charging infrastructure services for commercial fleets, including project development, installation, operations, maintenance, and smart charging management. The company is also behind ChargePilot(R), an energy and charge management platform designed to help fleet operators optimize charging processes, reduce operating costs, and manage electric vehicle depots more efficiently. The business currently serves more than 5,000 customers and manages over 2,500 fleet depots, supported by a team of around 60 employees. For Edenred, the acquisition adds depot and workplace charging expertise to its existing mobility portfolio. The group already provides fleet and mobility services to more than 300,000 customers in Europe and Latin America and offers access to a public EV charging network of more than one million charging points across Europe. Following completion, The Mobility House Solutions will operate as Edenred e-Mobility GmbH. Its existing customer contracts, daily operations, and Munich-based team are expected to remain in place, while the TMH Solutions and ChargePilot(R) brand presence will continue. The transaction also includes a commercial partnership with The Mobility House Energy GmbH. Through this cooperation, Edenred aims to offer fleet operators additional energy services, including flexibility aggregation and energy trading capabilities that could turn parked electric vehicles into intelligent energy assets. The Mobility House Group said the sale will allow it to focus more strongly on its energy business, including Vehicle-to-Grid technology, stationary storage, flexibility marketing, and energy market trading. Its charging division for private customers, resellers, and specialist partners will remain part of The Mobility House Group, as will its North American activities. For fleet operators, the deal brings together Edenred's commercial scale and mobility services with The Mobility House Solutions' technical expertise in charging infrastructure and intelligent energy management. The combination is intended to support companies as they transition from conventional fleets to mixed-energy and fully electric operations.
