Ensure proper patient identity by checking two forms of identification per hospital policy, and confirming physician orders.
Attend and complete all mandatory meetings and in-services, as well as assigned continuing education.

Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology or 1-year experience working as an Imaging Associate.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography, ARRT (R). New grads must be registered within 90 days of hire.
Current BLS card within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Acceptable courses are American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (LRT).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and proper radiological positioning in accordance with departmental protocols.
Demonstrates competency in ensuring patient safety at all times.
Completes continuing education biannually in accordance with Kansas State and ARRT regulations for current licensing and registration purposes.
Demonstrates ability to verify physician orders, insure proper reason for procedures and safely administer imaging contrast agents.

Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
