Requirements
  • JD with an active license to practice and a member in good standing
  • 3-5+ years at a major law firm or institutional asset manager
  • Substantial experience structuring and advising hedge funds and negotiating investment management agreements for separately managed accounts preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting business teams/clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Sound judgment with ability to work as both a team member and leader
Responsibilities
  • Structuring, drafting and negotiating investment management agreements, side letters and private fund offering documentation
  • Advising on the structuring various institutional products, including domestic and offshore funds and investment vehicles.
  • Advising on various legal and regulatory matters relating to the product development and distribution activities of the firm’s institutional asset management and tax-aware business.
  • Collaborating extensively with internal teams (legal, compliance, risk, operations) on all matters related to the above.
