  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in transportation safety and compliance, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of applicable transportation regulations
  • Proven track record of conducting safety audits, investigations, and managing compliance inspections
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and develop practical solutions
  • Process oriented, with a proven ability to be a change agent across business functions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to effectively follow up on multiple outstanding requests
  • Comfortable in a fluid working environment, keeping up with changing industry standards and evolving internal context
Responsibilities
  • Support and promote consistent and effective safety programs / practices
  • Review key performance indicators and metrics to monitor safety and compliance performance
  • Coordinate with senior leadership team, as well as operations and equipment teams
  • Oversee and manage the accident reporting and investigation process
  • Effectively manage the team to ensure compliance with regulations set forth by DOT, FMCSA, EPA, OSHA
  • Represent aifleet in grievance procedure with safety related issues
