As a Sales Consultant Specialist at AssetMark, the leading provider of investment solutions for independent financial planners you will support our sales team in building and nurturing relationships with Investment Advisors. Your role will involve managing key administrative tasks and leveraging various sales software tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
The total compensation for this role includes base plus a competitive sales incentive plan target as detailed below.
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $45,000-$50,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.
Additionally, this position is eligible for an annualized Sales Incentive Plan target of up to $30,000. The achievement of the Sales Incentive Plan target will be based on performance to clearly stated goals and metrics.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in either Chicago, IL, Encino, CA, or Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with relevant investment information, including platform updates, marketing materials, operational changes, industry news, and market events
- Educate, advise, and consult advisors on the platform, investments, and practice management offerings
- Enhance the consultative process for the wealth management platform and service offering by driving scale and capacity for the sales team to ensure that clients’ needs are met
- Build relationships with advisors and deliver strong presentations through effective phone and written communication
- Proactively communicate with advisors and ask insightful questions to identify additional needs and highlight expanded partnership opportunities
- Manage inbound calls from the general sales queue and make outbound calls to promote event attendance
- Assist ensemble teams in acquiring new advisor relationships through targeted outbound calls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated service-related issues and provide backup support for assigned sales team members as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to foster a cohesive and supportive team environment
- Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tools to effectively manage territory and pipeline
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance field
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Active FINRA licenses: Series 6, 63, and 65 and/or 7 and 66 are required
