Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in social work or a relevant field is required.
  • A valid Ohio Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist license is required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record meeting the agency's insurance underwriting criteria are required.
  • Approval by Bellefaire is required to transport clients in the employee's own vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional clinical services and documentation, including assessments, treatment planning, group treatment, skills building, case management, and discharge and aftercare planning.
  • Complete clinical documentation, including progress notes, accurately and within departmental timelines.
  • Provide the required number of service delivery hours per week established by departmental guidelines.
  • Lead day treatment, intensive outpatient program, and other assigned groups.
  • Understand and execute assigned evidence-based curricula.
  • Oversee client activities and maintain accountability for clients' whereabouts and safety during group sessions.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, problem resolution, and process discussions with clients.
  • Assist with client transportation to and from group programming as needed.
  • Report and appropriately document major unusual incidents and other events requiring an incident report.
  • Maintain consistent contact with clients' parents or guardians to provide updates, skills education, and client advocacy.
  • Maintain positive relationships and regular communication with community providers, including OhioRISE and schools, while providing updates and client advocacy.
  • Remain current with required training.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
  • Keep required training, certifications, and licensure current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Protect client privacy and handle client-related documents according to agency confidentiality guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct and follow agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Bellefaire JCB receives $522K grant to fight youth violence

The Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, recently awarded a $522,000 grant to Bellefaire JCB to create the Begun Center for Youth and Family Resiliency, which aims to reduce youth violence through social skills education and conflict resolution training, according to a news release.
