A Day in the Life

Responsabilités :

- Aider à l’élaboration et à la maintenance de la documentation de fabrication, y compris les instructions de travail, les diagrammes de flux de processus et les procédures opérationnelles standard.
- Effectuer des activités de validation et de calibration des équipements pour garantir la conformité aux exigences réglementaires.
- Soutenir les initiatives d’amélioration continue et contribuer à une culture d’innovation et d’excellence.
Qualifications :
- Actuellement en cours d’obtention d’un baccalauréat ou d’une maîtrise en ingénierie de fabrication, en ingénierie mécanique, en ingénierie industrielle, en ingénierie biomédicale, en ingénierie chimique ou dans un domaine connexe.
- Solides compétences analytiques et de résolution de problèmes avec une grande attention aux détails.
- Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de travailler efficacement en équipe.
- Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Compétences intermédiaires à avancées en CAO (par exemple, SolidWorks) indispensables.
- Connaissance des principes de Lean Manufacturing et Six Sigma préférée.
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches et à établir des priorités efficacement dans un environnement dynamique.

Medtronic is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the medical device industry and contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Operations to support process improvements.
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform equipment validation and calibration activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate to advanced CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks) is a must.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is preferred.
