Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS)
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience with at least 2 years' experience leading or managing technical resources and/or an IT service desk in a mid to large sized organization
  • Must be local to Chicago area
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, software, and SaaS (software as a service) including but not limited to:
  • MacOS
  • Windows
  • Microsoft 365
  • Cloud Services in AWS, Azure, GCP, etc
  • Okta, Azure AD or other identity management
  • Jira or other issue tracking software
  • Mobile Device Management of laptops with Jamf, Intune or others
  • Proven ability to be effectively efficient and produce results
  • Proven strong communication and documentation skills
  • Proven history of identifying and championing projects
  • Strong vendor management experience (hardware, software, communications, services, etc.) including contract negotiation, purchasing and order management, and collaboration with finance resources
  • Experience in a startup environment
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Help Desk ensuring all processes used by the Help Desk are thoroughly documented, audited, maintained, and followed in line with Ocient's goals and compliance requirements
  • Manage End User Windows and macOS laptops, and enterprise software such as email, file sharing, and productivity tools
  • Manage identity and access management via Okta and Azure AD
  • Work with the Security Team to ensure a secure environment for enterprise users and applications
  • Oversee Ocient's multiple public cloud accounts
  • Provide strong leadership and support to all team members, including assigning tasks, resolving conflicts, training and mentoring
