Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of logistics experience is required; rail logistics experience is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and monitor activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team is required.
Responsibilities
  • Authorize railcar releases in accordance with company guidelines and monitor approved quantities to prevent over-shipments.
  • Ensure railcars contain the correct product and are routed to the appropriate destination.
  • Divert railcars as required and create new routing instructions for new destinations.
  • Track monthly purchase orders and maintain operational records and files.
  • Monitor railcar flows to minimize asset usage charges and ensure efficient cycle times.
  • Prepare and send daily reports on the availability of empty railcars that can be ordered or returned within the assigned territory.
  • Respond to internal customer requests and provide timely operational support.
  • Collaborate closely with yard staff to support daily operations and meet shipping deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
  • Rail logistics experience is an asset.
  • Completed post-secondary education, preferably in Business Administration, Transportation, or Logistics, is considered an asset.
