Our Financial Development team owns our back-end purchasing systems that support purchases, payments, and invoicing, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

About the Job:
- Own the migration of a live existing Perl system to an AWS / Java service based architecture
- Lead the full life cycle of user-facing applications at scale, from design to implementation, testing and production
- Guide leadership teams on technical considerations for the future product roadmap while establishing engineering best practices and ZipRecruiter system design
- Inspire and mentor our growing engineers and managers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience leading and designing large scale systems
- Experience developing technical roadmap for cross functional business areas
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/MS/PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of experience leading and designing large scale systems
- Understanding of billing systems and basic GAAP accounting principals
- Experience building complex systems using JVM & AWS technologies

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$200,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
