Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role, is required.
  • Proven experience leading annual budgeting and multi-year planning cycles is required.
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools such as Excel and Adaptive is required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements is required.
  • Financial change management experience, including M&A integration and reorganization, is required.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail are required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex financial information to finance and non-finance audiences, are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the annual operating plan, multi-year strategic financial planning, and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Own and analyze financial performance metrics and provide strategic insights to the executive team for business and investment decisions.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports for the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators and metrics to monitor financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Support M&A activities through valuation modeling and due diligence, and lead financial scenario planning.
  • Partner with Commercial, General and Administrative, and Research and Development functions to provide financial insights, predictive analytics, and recommendations.
  • Build and mentor a three-person high-performing finance team.
  • Drive team alignment with strategic goals and foster a collaborative culture and clear career paths.
  • Provide strategic oversight and decision-making across Finance, including talent development, succession planning, and system implementations and integrations.
  • Establish a unified vision for the Financial Planning and Analysis function aligned with long-term company strategy.
  • Improve financial planning and analysis systems and workflows to provide consistent and reliable forecasts.
  • Enhance financial reporting, visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer, executive team, senior leaders, People and Culture team, and external stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or CFA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the technology, software-as-a-service, or sports performance industry is preferred.
  • Experience with a global organization and multi-currency reporting is preferred.
  • Proficiency with financial systems including NetSuite, Workday Adaptive, and business intelligence solutions is preferred.
  • Experience transitioning systems to a comprehensive enterprise architecture is preferred.
