Machinify is seeking a Director of Medical Coding Reviewsto build and scale our coding team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to stay hands-on, while developing the operational strategy for this team.

What you’ll do:

• Drive operations for Machinify’s enterprise coding services (including service delivery, quality, education, training)

• Lead our coding review strategy, ensuring alignment with industry trends, regulatory requirements and customer needs

• Set performance targets and internal operating metrics 

• Partner with the Data organization, supporting data scientists to understand the claim coding process

• Build and scale a team of high performing code reviewers 

• Partner with our engineering team to understand the use of the AI driven tools/user interfaces and provide feedback to improve the product

What You Bring:

• You have 12+ years experience with a proven track record in coding management in a facility of significant size and complexity, hospital business operations, information systems, and / or vendor audit firm, with at least 4 years being in leadership roles

• Minimum CPC-P; preference is specialty certifications as well – such as: CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CANPC, CEMC, CFPC, CIRCC, COBGC, COSC, CPCD, CPEDC, CPMA, CRC

• Healthcare claim audit knowledge in the following areas: One Day Admissions, Readmissions, ER Visits, Utilization Management/Medical Necessity, Outlier Payments

• Working knowledge of encoding software such as 3M or TruCode is a plus

• You are excited about solving complex problems in an industry impacting millions of lives

• You are a critical thinker who can be strategic without losing the attention to detail

• You are comfortable taking the initiative and owning projects from start to finish

• You can build positive relationships based on trust and value delivered
