Job Description
Serves as administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and the Director of the Dean’s Office. Coordinates departmental and assigned committee events, department events, meetings and conferences. Assists in procurement and college-wide training and initiatives.
PayScale Salary Range:
UNIV-Band 6: $43,030.00 - $61,323.00 - $79,616.00 (min - mid - max)
Job Duties:
30% Serves as administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and the Director of the Dean’s Office. Coordinates departmental and assigned committee events, department events, meetings, conferences, etc. Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, presentations, and other college-supporting and logistical documents as requested. Maintains the College phone list, room location list, onboarding binder, available space, and college organizational charts.
30% Works closely with Finance and Administration and the Dean’s Office to assist in procurement, and purchases including but not limited to: supplies, memberships, reimbursements, equipment, equipment service/maintenance, travel arrangements for CDM personnel, events, and account renewals. Completes and manages procurement, the department P-card, travel reimbursements and payment tracking as requested for Finance and Administration. Facilitates major equipment purchases. Makes deposits when requested. Handles the ordering and coordinating of water delivery for both the Basic Science Building and Dental Clinic Work Rooms.
20% Coordinates, organizes, and oversees the following programs under the direction of the manager: Teaching Assistant Program, CDM Mentor Scholar Grant program, CDM Junior Faculty Club and awards program, Junior Faculty Mentoring program, Faculty Awards, and other faculty-related and grant programs as assigned by manager.
10% Assists the Human Resource Manager regarding college-wide training and initiatives as requested by the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and the Director of the Dean’s Office. Assists with assets in alignment with the department’s Business Manager. Serves as back-up office coverage for the Dean’s Office.
10% Other relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
A high school diploma and five years relevant experience in business management, public administration or Administrative services; or a bachelor’s degree and three years experience in business management, public administration or Administrative services.
