Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar credentials are desirable.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement factory layout and material system & equipment to meet operational excellence, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
  • Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers and other technical staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Lead engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Promote and implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
  • Collect and analyze production & equipment data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance, supply chain, manufacturing engineering) to resolve issues and improve overall factory performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports on engineering activities, project progress, and performance metrics for senior management.
